A tribal bag from Afghan belouch family, possibly originally one half of a saddle bag. The bag may be made in to a cushion with the help of a large pillow, or kept as a decorative item.

Belouch ballisht bag (cushion) Woven using sheep's wool and natural dyes in Afghanistan. Grain sack or 'ballisht' would be used in various ways and works wonderfully as a floor cushion or bench cushion.  Size: 87 x 57 cms

An exquisite and finely woven Belouch rug with a lovely soft red field illustrating a very Persian affection for gardens and nature, with birds and plants formed into a subtly flowing pattern. The white ground border nicely 'frames' the field....
