Susan Briscoe – expert in Japanese kimono and textiles - will show Japanese textiles, sashiko, yarns and crafts packs. Susan has a well earned huge following through her teaching, craft instruction and TV channel.
Magie Relph and Bob Irwin present African Vintage. They visited 34 countries in Africa establishing strong friendships with crafts people along the way. Their collection is a riot of colour, glowing with the warmth of that great continent.
Gavin Strachan, collector of textiles from eastern Europe, Turkey and Scandinavia is editor of the world class Oxford Asian Textile group journal and we are thrilled he has agreed to be our Sunday speaker for this year's World Textiles Weekend. Don’t miss it!. Gavin will also bring a variety of Balkan textiles from his personal collection, adding Eastern Europe to The Nomads Tent’s global portfolio.
