We welcome you to our celebration of Ottoman culture which includes our 5th Annual Symposium; Travellers and Treasures of the Ottoman World, a subject which inspired us to present sensational Balkan folk and Klezmer performances, an evening of authentic classical Ottoman music, and the poetry and stories of Rumi. And that’s not all; we’ll offer a glimpse into the stores of the National Museum of Scotland, and a lavish selling exhibition of Turkish Iznik pottery, kilims and rugs. At the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh there will be a major ASTENE seminar on The Botanical Legacy of the Ottomans. Click here for details.
